Enjoy a Rigi ride in the front of locomotive 7, an incomparable gem of the Rigi's historic carriage fleet. This has been in the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne since 1959 and was brought back to the Rigi especially for the 150th anniversary of the Rigi Railways. Locomotive 7 is the world's only running rack-and-pinion steam locomotive with a standing boiler and has a basket at the front where you can breathe the steam air of the original mountain railway pioneers.

The descent is possible on any scheduled train or on the steam train at 2.01 pm. No reservations will be accepted.
