The Kräbel - Rigi Scheidegg aerial cableway is currently closed due to strong wind. The summit can still be reached from Goldau and Vitznau by cogwheel railway

Hiking enthusiasts, moon addicts and everyday escapees take note: The Rigi is not only worth a trip in daylight. Also in the darkness, the queen of the mountains shows that she has a lot to offer. The full moon hike from Vitznau-Hinterbergen leads through the nightly darkness to Rigi Kulm, where the sunrise makes you forget your efforts. This is followed by a fine breakfast in the alpine restaurant Chäserenholz. Accompanied by a guide, participants learn exciting facts about the Rigi and are expertly led through the darkness of the night.
The hike takes place during the night from Friday to Saturday. Accordingly, the meeting point is early on Saturday morning. Available dates are:
Saturday, 22 June / sunrise 05.17am / meeting point 01.00am
Saturday, 17 August / sunrise 06.28am / meeting point 02.10am
Meeting point: The meeting point is at the valley station of the Hinterbergen cable car above Vitznau. (Attention, not to be confused with the Rigi Bahnen station in Vitznau).
Return journey: At 09.05am or 10.05am from Rigi Staffel to Vitznau.
Physical condition: The hike covers 800 meters in altitude. The hike is demanding and requires an appropriate level of fitness (pure hiking time: 3 1/2 hours)
Equipment: Good shoes and headlamp
Parking Hinterbergen: CHF 4.00 for 12 hours parking time

We will contact you in advance if the tour is canceled because of poor weather. If you do not receive a cancellation from us by 4.00 pm on the day before the tour (Friday), then you can be certain that the tour will take place.
