HISTORIC-MODERN

Description

We may be the first mountain railroad in Europe, but we also have the latest generation of trains in operation. Dear passenger: We would like to take you on a journey through time. Board a historic vehicle in Arth-Goldau and travel from Rigi Kulm back down into the valley to Vitznau on the latest articulated railcar.

From Arth-Goldau, guests travel daily at 10:08 a.m., 12:08 p.m. and 3:23 p.m. on historic vehicles (at least 50 years old) to the Queen of the Mountains.

No reservation is necessary for the historical-modern experience. No seat is reserved when booking this ticket.

The historisch-modern ticket (normal day ticket) entitles you to unlimited use with the following mountain railroads:

  • Cogwheel railroad from Vitznau to Rigi Kulm

  • Cogwheel railroad from Goldau to Rigi Kulm

  • Cable car from Weggis to Rigi Kaltbad

  • Cable car from Kräbel to Rigi Scheidegg

At the stations of the Rigi Bahnen there are parking spaces available for a fee. However, we recommend public transport instead of a car: sit back, enjoy and do something good for the environment.
