Description
From February 6 to 27, 2026, Rigi Kaltbad will be illuminated for the first time as part of the Rigi Light Festival (LiRi). Every day between 5:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., visitors can discover 11 atmospheric light installations free of charge – from the rock chapel to the village square in Kaltbad and the railway station, along the lower Firstweg trail to the First alpine cheese dairy.
The journey takes you from Vitznau, Weggis, or Goldau to Rigi Kaltbad, the starting point of the festival, on the Rigi Railways. Additional extra trips are available in the evening for the return journey.
A special ticket is available for afternoon arrivals, valid from 3:45 p.m. and entitling the holder to use the Rigi Railways throughout the mountain.
