SEEBODENALP & RIGI KALTBAD HIKING TICKET
Please check the condition of the trails directly with the Seebodenalp aerial cable car. Travelers with a GA pass can purchase a one-way ticket at the Küssnacht–Seebodenalp cable car station.
Description
After taking the aerial cable car from Küssnacht, hike from Seebodenalp via Känzeli to Rigi Kaltbad. From Seebodenalp, the route initially leads you at a fairly leisurely pace towards Alp Ruodisegg. Once you have passed it, the path becomes steeper as it winds through the shady forests of Mount Rigi. At the Känzeli viewpoint, a fantastic panorama with views over Lake Lucerne awaits you. Return to the valley on Europe’s first cogwheel railway or by aerial cable car.
The ticket includes the following journeys:
From Küssnacht am Rigi to Seebodenalp by aerial cable car
From Rigi Kaltbad to Weggis / Vitznau by aerial cable car or cogwheel railway
The hike takes place from Seebodenalp to Rigi Kaltbad or vice versa.
From Vitznau or Weggis, a bus runs every 30 minutes back to Küssnacht to the Seebodenalp cable car station, or vice versa. This journey is not included in the ticket.
Paid parking spaces are available at the stations of the Rigi Railways. However, we recommend using public transport instead of driving: sit back, relax, enjoy—and do something good for the environment at the same time.
