A detailed description of the hiking route can be found here. Please note that in winter, good footwear is required.
Description
Start in Goldau and travel by cogwheel railway and aerial cable car up to Rigi Scheidegg at 1,656 m above sea level. From there, hike along the 7 km panoramic trail and continue via the Känzeli to Seebodenalp, where the aerial cable car awaits for the journey down to Küssnacht.
The hiking ticket includes the following journeys:
From Goldau to Rigi Scheidegg by cogwheel railway and aerial cable car
From Seebodenalp to Küssnacht am Rigi by aerial cable car
The hike takes place from Scheidegg to Seebodenalp or vice versa.
Paid parking spaces are available at the stations of the Rigi Railways. However, we recommend using public transport instead of driving: sit back, relax, enjoy—and do something good for the environment at the same time.
