Description
Europe's oldest mountain railway has been carrying passengers up from Vitznau to Mt. Rigi since 1871. Some of the engines and carriages from those early years have been lovingly and expertly restored. Mt. Rigi Railways is now in possession of one of the world's largest fleets of vintage rolling stock. A steam engine, combined with vintage carriages, make the trip up to the "Queen of the Mountains" an exclusive, nostalgic adventure.

Parking is available for a fee at the Rigi Bahnen stations. However, we recommend public transport instead of a car: sit back, enjoy and do something good for the environment.

The reservation is only valid for the ascent. Children receive their own seat, but require the ticket for children up to and including the age of 15.
The descent is possible on any scheduled train or on the steam train at 2:15 pm. No reservations will be accepted.
