Fondue trip in wagon 6

With the Rigi Railways, you can enjoy a fondue in unusual places: for example, in the oldest electric cogwheel railcar in the world (built in 1911).

In the heated "Wagon 6", you’ll travel by moonlight toward Rigi Kulm at nearly 1,800 meters above sea level. During the nostalgic winter mountain ride, the hostesses will serve an aperitif. At the top of Rigi Kulm, a delicious cheese fondue awaits you, before the evening concludes with dessert.

Arrival & Parking Goldau

  • By car: Park at the A4 parking lot in Goldau and board the train at the “Goldau A4” station at 5:55 p.m.

  • By public transit: The quickest way to the Rigi Bahnen station is via the station square directly to the entrance of the elevated platform at the end of Track 5.

  • There are 5 tables with 6 seats each. Several groups of guests may be seated together at one table.
