LOK 7 RIDE | FROM GOLDAU

Historic mountain journey in locomotive 7 from Goldau to Rigi Kulm

Experience a unique journey from Goldau to the Rigi on the world's only mobile cogwheel steam locomotive with a vertical boiler. The historic locomotive 7 from the pioneering days of mountain railways is only put into service a few days a year – a rare opportunity for an impressive journey into the past, accompanied by steam, technology, and impressive mountain scenery.

There are two ticket options available:

  • Regular trip: Enjoy the historic steam train ride in a regular carriage.

  • Körbli experience: Take a seat in the front “Körbli” and feel the steam, hear the sounds and soak up the atmosphere.

    • Information about the Körbli experience:

      • Protective clothing is provided before the trip and must be worn during the trip.

      • Maximum of 7 people per trip in the Körbli.

      • No minimum age or height requirement.

      • Not suitable for wheelchair users.

      • It can be noisy in the Körbli, so it is less suitable for those with sensitive hearing.
